4th & LOUD – AMC
4th and Loud is a 10 episode docu-series focused on the inaugural season of the LA KISS arena football team. The show, which will followed the players and coaches as they tried to turn LA’s first professional football team in years into a winning franchise, featured owners Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of the rock band KISS, as well as long-time manager, Doc McGhee. The series premiered on AMC in the summer of 2014.
As Supervising Producer & Lead Editor on this series I oversaw the entire post production process from the first frame of edit to the final mixed and color corrected master. I collaborated directly with the Executive Producers at Think Factory and AMC Networks to bring their vision to life. As part of that I was instrumental in developing the style and tone of the series overseeing the day to day editorial process of managing all 6 editors, working with the post-supervisor on post-schedules and budgets, coordinating screenings with EP’s, working hand-in-hand with my counterpart in the story department to develop story & character archs as well as scripting interview questions and pick ups as needed. In addition, I oversaw and recorded all voice over sessions, online and color grading sessions as well as the final audio mix sessions. Every episode was finalized and approved by me before going to air. I did all this while continuing to edit and lock episodes.
This series is a true representation of my producing and editing work and while it may not have made it to a second season I’m proud to have had the opportunity to have worked on it.
